lunasariel725@yahoo.comAbout me:
I'm short, a card-carrying geek, Californian, and proud of it (until Prop 8 passed, at least)! My life revolves around books and reading. I fully hope to become a librarian once I get out of school. I am mildly agoraphobic (fear of large groups of people), and definetly misanthropic. I am a bit of an otaku (that's manga/anime nerd, for the layman), but not nearly as much as I am a Ringer (once again, Lord of the Rings nerd in layman's terms). I am trying to speak Elvish, have slogged my way through the Silmarillion, and quote extensively from both books and movies. I hate Orlando Bloom, but I like Legolas (believe me, he was better in the books. Rather snarky, actually). Unlike most, I still have some faith in fanfiction, and am on a continuous and probably fruitless campaign to promote good writers and demote bad ones.
About the weird posting format:
To make a long story short, I didn't want to clog up people's f-lists with what are, essentially, page-long, public diary entries. Therefore, I'll type my lil' heart out, then stick everything under a LJ cut. By all means, feel free to click on the cut and read my posts.
About this journal:
I have three online journals (I hesitate to call them blogs, because only this one is on a site dedicated to journaling): my first, on Gaia (the second of my links), is a now-defunct story repository. Now, it is where I air what passes for style for me. The second is on Quizilla, although I don't usually quiz on there. That is where most of my literary works, i.e. book reviews, stories, general ideas used to go, until it became completely impossible to use (as opposed to before, when it was merely really, really difficult to use). This one is my third, and only currently active, journal, where I put everything that has at least some flimsy connection to real life, although it usually winds up relating back to a book that I read recently, or some idea I had. Of course, like any would-be author, I love feedback (the good, the bad, and the ugly).
A few warnings:
- I am a yaoi (male/male romance) fan, and some of my posts can get rather graphic. If that sort of thing disturbs you, or if you are underage in your area, don't say I didn't warn you.
- I am dead set against Stephanie Meyer's Twilight, and all of its ilk. This is another area where I can get pretty graphic, so Twilight fans are advised to stay away, unless you're hankering for an argument. I do pride myself on my civility in debate, though. Rest assured, I will never call you an "OMG U STUPID BITCH!!!!1!!," but I do not suffer fools gladly.
- I HAVE AN *EXTREMELY* ACTIVE IMAGINATION. I WRITE *A LOT* Not all of it will make sense to everybody else; in fact, it isn't really meant to. I usually don't write with an eye towards people that I probably don't know reading and commenting on my ramblings. However, as I've said, concrit is always, always welcome.
